JOSCHUA SCHMIDT WINS YCS MADRID!!! (with coverage highlights)

Congratulations to Joschua Schmidt, who just won YCS Madrid with his Shaddoll Artifact deck! Also, congrats to Federico Pastore for coming in second place while also playing Shaddolls.

As the second premier event to conclude since the legalization of Duelist Alliance, Madrid continued to prove that old is out and new is in. Shaddolls stormed the Top Cut by force, ending up taking not only the tournament, but the entire Top 4, 7 of the Top 8, 3/4ths of the Top 16, and half the Top 32. Only 6 of the Top 32 decks weren't part of the new trinity of competition - Shaddolls, Satellarknights, and Burning Abyss.
