PLEASE KONAMI: Blizzard Thunderbird

Have you heard of Blizzard Thunderbird? Probably not! Here it is:

Blizzard Thunderbird
Water / 4 / Winged-Beast / 1600 / 1400
You can discard 1 card; Special Summon both 1 WATER Winged-Beast-Type monster from your hand and 1 from your Graveyard, except "Blizzard Thunderbird", then return this card on the field to the hand. You can only use the effect of "Blizzard Thunderbird" once per turn.

The first thing you think when you read this card might be "that's an instant Synchro or Xyz play AND you get to reuse it later, but... Water and Winged-Beast???"

Yes, it's a very strange combination. So strange, in fact, that literally only seven cards in the entire game (or at least, on Dueling Network) fit that description right now. So why am I talking about this card if it has so little to work with?

Well, to put it simply, because it makes a deck! I feel like that effect is so powerful and the card annexes so much support that its existence literally single-handedly creates a brand new deck. Or at least it would, if there were more good cards to use it with. That's where the goofy "PLEASE KONAMI" thing comes from; it would be really nice if we had more playable Water/Winged-Beast monsters in the game, preferably Level 4 ones.

You can't deny that the support is definitely there. Here's a list of just a few of the powerful cards that help either Water or Winged-Beast monsters:

Tidal, Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls
Salvage
Moray of Greed
Neptune's Amulet
Spiritual Water Art - Aoi
Torrential Reborn
Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
Black Ray Lancer
Bahamut Shark
Dragunity Darkspear
Swallow's Nest
Icarus Attack
Ice Beast Zerofyne

Here's hoping that some really decent monsters come out in the future that you can use this card with. I have high hopes that it will happen; after all, why make such a great card if it can barely even be played?
