Ghostrick Yeti
Dark / Level 3 / Zombie / 300 / 2000
Cannot be Normal Summoned, unless you control a “Ghostrick” monster.
Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position.
When this card is flipped face-up: You can target 1 “Ghostrick” monster
on the field; this turn, it cannot be destroyed by battle or card
effects.
I'm assuming this card can target itself when attacked. If so, then this is a nice new wall for Ghostricks. Even if not, it still has 2000 DEF so that's not bad. I'm not sure that another wall was exactly what they needed, but I've never played the deck so I don't really know.
Bujingi Pavo
Light / Level 4 / Winged-Beast / 1700 / 800
Super Rare
When a Beast-Warrior type “Bujin” monster you control is destroyed by
battle and sent to the Graveyard: You can discard this card from your
hand to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 “Bujin” monster from your Deck.
You can only use the effect of Bujingi Pavo once per turn.
This card is pretty good, but I don't think it'll find much of a place in Bujin decks right now. The current strategy aims to prevent the Beast-Warriors from being destroyed in the first place, not trying to bounce back if they are. So I think you'd just be better off running more copies of Crane and Crow, but this is definitely a card to look out for if something unfortunate happens to Crane and Crow on a future banlist.
Gravekeeper's Heretic
Dark / Level 4 / Spellcaster / 1800 / 1500
Rare
This card on the field is unaffected by all other card effects, as long as “Necrovalley” is also on the field.
I think this is another good example of Konami effectively towing the line between making a card really good and making a card broken. Notice how it says ALL other card effects? Yeah, that includes Necrovalley too. An 1800 ATK removal-immune beatstick is a really good card for Gravekeepers, but a 2300 ATK version would have been fucking retarded. It can also be searched by Recruiter, but it's balanced by the fact that losing Necrovalley makes it borderline useless. I can definitely see this card making some big waves in Gravekeeper decks from this point forward, because it's kind of tough to kill a monster in battle when you're up against a deck that lives on Trap Cards. Don't get me wrong, I'm not particularly happy about that (because I'm not a fan of lockdown strategies), but I still recognize this card's worth.
Obedience Schooled
Normal Spell
Super Rare
If you control no monsters: Special Summon 3 Level 2 or lower Beast-Type
Effect Monsters with different names from your Deck. Their effects are
negated, and they are destroyed during the End Phase. If you activate
this card, you cannot Special Summon for the rest of this turn, except
Beast-Type monsters.
This card is effectively a one-card enabler for almost any Tribute Monster you can think of, including the Egyptian Gods. It also lets you summon powerful Beast-Type monsters like The Fabled Unicore and Number 64: Ronin Raccoon Sandayu very easily. There's also an OTK you can perform with it that a person on Pojo figured out. You can see that here. It's an extremely random release, but my guess is that it will make Ojamas and other Beast-centric decks much better.
So that's all for now guys. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you again soon.
