While equipped with a “Noble Arms” Equip Spell Card, this card
becomes DARK and its Level is increased by 1. When this card is sent to
the Graveyard while equipped with a “Noble Arms” Equip Spell Card:
Target 1 “Noble Arms” card in your Graveyard; add that target to your
hand.
As I've said before, I'm not a Noble Knight enthusiast or expert, so I'm not sure how good this card actually is just from the first look. Gwenhwyfar was pretty obvious in her brokenness, but this card... not so much. I do think it's nice that it kind of solves the classic problem of Equip Spells by giving you a card back if he gets killed. They also mentioned in the article how he's a great pairing with Gwenhwyfar: killing him in battle will kill your monster while giving your opponent a card back, but killing him with an effect still gives your opponent something back. Not to mention you may not have removal on hand for this guy all the time.
But I'm not really sure that he's truly worth playing beyond that. Noble Knight decks already appear to be grasping for space as it is, so I'm uncertain that this card is going to be good enough to secure some slots. Especially when you have to compete with cards like Medraut, Borz, Drystan, Gawayn, Gwalchavad, Lady and Queen. So what do you guys think? Is this card worth playing? Thanks for reading, and I'll see you again soon.
