YGO Market Advice #2: Totems and Gauntlets

It's been a while since I last wrote a post for this series, but I'm back today with a tiny bit of market advice for you guys. There are two cards that really caught my eye yesterday at locals that aren't very expensive right now, but could easily see a spike in price as soon as a deck debuts that can use them - namely, Gauntlet Launcher and Totem Bird.

For those of you who don't know, Gauntlet Launcher is an extremely powerful Rank 6 Xyz that came out two months ago in LTGY. It has beefy stats and can detach materials to destroy monsters, without even being straddled by the annoying "once per turn" clause that the vast majority of Xyz come with. There's already a variety of different decks in the game that can summon Rank 6 monsters, including Hieratics, Monarchs, Hazy Flames, Dark Prophecy, Dragunities, Chaos Dragons, and some builds of Evols. Personally, I think it's only a matter of time until either someone does very well with one of these decks packing Gauntlet Launchers, or an entirely new deck debuts that can summon Rank 6s and happens to have a good use for him. While it's not the type of card that you should pick up binders and boxes full of, you should probably get a few extras while you can - most places value them somewhere around $2, so it shouldn't be too hard.

Next, we have Totem Bird. This card also debuted in LTGY, but instead of being swept under the rug and forgotten by many players, it was met with widespread head scratching, largely owing to the card's lack of playability outside of decks like Six Samurai and Mecha Phantom Beasts. But obviously it won't stay that way forever, and the constricted supply that Secret Rares have could facilitate a sharp increase in price once an influential deck is released that can use the card well. This card also appears to be going for $2 in many places as well, so don't hesitate to pick some up if you can.

That's all for now guys. Leave me some comments of cards that YOU think will be going up in price in the future! Later.
